New Science Fiction Collection, Guns, Gods & Robots, is an eclectic way to break in your new e-Reader.
Local author, Brady Koch, explores the human side of science fiction.
Bronxville, NY – Local writer, Brady Koch’s new science fiction and horror collection, Gun, Gods & Robots, is an assemblage of work detailing alternate histories and unusual applications of technology in our day-to-day life. Despite the unusual circumstances and inhospitable surroundings the protagonists find themselves in, the core of each story is in the characters themselves.
“The world may be literally be falling apart around these people, but they find ways to maintain some kind of control of their circumstances. For better or worse,” Koch says. “These stories are all about the small personal moments inside of much larger, impossible landscapes.”
Guns, Gods & Robots is a collection of seven novellas and stories that span the spectrum of modern science fiction and horror. “I love genre books and I consider myself a classicist when it comes to the stories I enjoy writing. You’ll get a sense of my childhood fascination with Amazing Stories and playing catch-up on Twilight Zone episodes in my adulthood.”
After finding success in distributing his stories via pay-what-you- want style websites like Noisetrade.com and OpenBooks.com, making Guns, Gods & Robots available through self-publishing instead of other traditional means was always Koch’s first choice. “This whole process has been grassroots, and taking this book the last mile through self-publishing was always my goal. I’m a hands-on guy. I like learning the publication process from beginning to end. From the editing and cover design to the marketing and distribution, I can say this final product has my fingerprints all over it.”

Writer Brady Koch
envisions life after catastrophe inside Cheyenne Mountain Complex
Bronxville, NY – Two key stories in Brady Koch’s new
science fiction and horror collection, Guns, Gods & Robots, detail a life
spent underground at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex and the efforts people take
to preserve the culture “pre-bunker.” These tales are part of a larger set of
stories that detail alternate histories and unusual applications of technology in
our day-to-day life. The impact of the decisions these characters make are alternately
uplifting and horrific.
“As a younger reader I was more interested in stories about the
events that would require us to have to use a bunker like the Cheyenne Mountain
Complex,” Koch says. “Now I’m more interested in how we can preserve our
culture after generations underground and what happens when it’s safe to return
to the surface.”
